Executive Announcements

Thanks to Joe Schmidt for bringing everyone a personalized desktop calendars again this year. Milton Taylor gave an update on Jack's illness. Mike Jenkins thanked the previous executive for their hard work last year. Depesh Parmar is stepping away from the club but will have a replacement on January 25. Nathan will be replacing Brad Trail from Sunrise Publishing. Brad was elected as membership director. Martin has volunteered to replace Brad. We need a assistant for Martin. Cheryl Tuck-Tallon graciously put her hand up and volunteered for the position. Gerry will continue on with treasure until April. Fees are due, there a $50 discount if paid early. Lyle Burkell our new secretary is looking for speakers for 2012. If there are no speakers we will be networking at the tables among members.

Social Announcements

Monica Pollard says are first social event will be the Saskatoon Blades night at the Sasktel box on Friday, February 3. She will send a email out to all members.

General Announcements

Victor Boryski wants information from the members regarding advertising sites like Swarm. Sharon Kaendo is holding an information meeting on the Sandals Resort on Thursday, January 26. Len Romanski wanted to remind everyone that he caters to all shoes not just orthopedics. He is selling a new product called a Hiker from Sweden. This new product has better traction for our snowy cold winters. Greg White has informed us that your can draw money out of the Canada Pension Plan while we are sill working. You can get it earlier now from ages 6-65. Mike Jenkins says to come out to the Huskies Men's and Ladies hockey Friday and Saturday nights to watch some good hockey.

Darlene started working in the printing industry typing classified ads at the Regina Shopper Newspaper in 1984. Then moved on moved on to Focus Publishing typing out family histories for history books. Then moved to Saskatoon and started working for Mister Print in 1987. Darlene has worked at various positions with Mister Print and took over Rick Wrubleski (former 7:22 member) sales position after he retired in April 2009. Mister Print was bought by Printwest in 1997. We have 3 locations in Saskatchewan an are the largest printer in Saskatchewan employing 155 people. Mister Print prints everything from a business cards, letterheads envelopes, brochures and flyers. We have a on-line internet ordering system for stationary and have just installed two Igen digital presses that can stitch a book in-line in one day. Printwest on Millar Ave houses the web presses that print the Western Producer and the telephone books and many different magazines. Printwest in Regina has a 6 color press and prints annual reports, books and presentation folders. The printing industry has seen dramatic changes over the years but journey has been both educational and rewarding. Darlene's job is to help you out with your printing and marketing needs that you need to help your businesses grow.
