Speaker | Claude Marcotte with Caleb Group

The Caleb Group develops, constructs and manage retirement communties. There are eleven residences in total including the new one in Chatam and currently one to be established in Kindersley. The Caleb Group provides independent living. Established in 2002 with the purchase of 5 residences, Caleb group currently manages seven communities within the province for Rivera Inc.

The communities consist of 1150 suites ranging from studio to one and two bedrooms. The units are monthly rentals at a cost of about $1600 up to $3000. They don"t provide homecare however they do provide 24 hour security and can monitor residents with medical pendants that are monitored by Securtek. The Caleb Group provides table service, housekeeping and linen service, as well as transportation and activities for the residents.

The new location in Kindersley is to serve as a new model to the future development of other retirement communities. The Caleb Village in Kindersley is slated to be opening in June of this year. New sevices will include an al a carte system for services that are offered. There is usually a waiting list of about 30-40 per community. The demand for space and modern technology is determined to help with resale once the demand for retirement communities is over it's peak. The units can be later converted to condos.
