Speaker | Rylan Grant with Delta Point Wireless

Rylan Grant is a young entreprenuer in Saskatoon and boasts an impressive resume at the age of only 23. He has been involved with the Junior Achievements in high school and is attending the U of S for a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. Rylan created with a partner Black Nova Internet Svs while still in high school to provide web based technology. Rylan is also co founder of Delta Point Wireless, originally based out of his home now with an office at Innovation Place.

Delta Point Wireless has developed an indoor monitoring system that can be used in a variety of ways. The Caremate Resident Monitoring System is designed to help carehome staff keep track of patients through out the home in real time. The system can alert the nurses of the location of the resident. The pendants that the resident wears are designed to provide emergency response at the push of a button. It would also alert the nurse if the patient has fallen or if there is lack of movement from a resident within a period of time.

This technology has potential to be developed for residential use as well as other applications such as correctional facilities. Rylan has received funding from Venture Forward and Progress Capital as well as My Future Heros. With the support of the province the project is proving to be a success.
