Speaker | Jeff Sharpe | Colony Coffee And Tea Services

Jeff grew up in Yorkton. He obtained his marketing degree at the University of Saskatchewan. After graduating, he started working with the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce. A relative of his is the owner of Colony Coffee in Regina (Northgate Mall in Regina for 28 years) and was interested in expanding so Jeff helped him open their Saskatoon office. They now have offices in Regina, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw.

Colony Coffee supplies coffee to restaurants, coffee houses and various business offices. They sell bulk and proportion packed coffees, teas and other beverages. They also do service work for coffee machines and espresso machines at restaurants. They have the maintenance contract for Starbucks in Saskatchewan. They try to stay away from lower end coffees. The taste trend these days is for higher end coffees. They sell only Arabica coffees ... not the cheaper Robusta. Arabica has a bigger bean, grows higher on the mountain, is less bitter and has less caffeine.

Jeff is participating in the Grand Slam of Curling in Saskatoon on January 23 2008 at Credit Union Place. There are 4 Grand Slam Tournaments per year. To qualify to enter, a team must rank in the top 18 in world rankings. For more information visit

Jeff curls with Pat Simmons of Moose Jaw. They usually rank around 5th - 7th place in Canada.

Jeff ended by giving out coffee and tea samples to everyone. You can visit their website at Thanks Jeff and good luck in your upcoming tournament!
