As a result, his replacement from the Blades will be Mike Scissons. We're sorry to see you go Mike. You've been a great member and contributor to the club. Welcome Mike Scissons! We look forward to getting to know you.Social AnnouncementsThere are no specific events planned yet as we have a new executive. After the meeting, the executive informally suggested people get together at Aromas Restaurant in the Radisson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday February 2nd 2007. Please consider coming.General AnnouncementsMilton Taylor mentioned that we had a smaller turnout for our last meeting because of the blizzard but there was no shortage of laughter and comaraderie. We are the 2nd longest standing breakfast club in town, second only to the Eusadians and they have 50 years on us. Milt announced a Ken Burkell memorial golf tournament will be held on May 15th at Holiday Park Golf Course. This is not a club event. However, Ken, Lyle's brother, was a former club member. See Milt for more information.Speaker | Roast for Mike JenkinsMilt Taylor introduced speakers for a goodbye roast for Mike Jenkins of the Saskatoon Blades. He is leaving our club shortly for a new career at the Candle Lake Golf Resort. Jack Broadsky, general manager of the Blades started out talking about Mike talking about Mike and his exploits at work ovr the last 6 years. Next, veteran play-by-play broadcaster Les Lazaruk from Hot 93 Radio station spoke and thanked Mike for all of his hard work and support the last 6 years. The roast finished off with comments from Cheryl Tuck-Talon and a welcome to our new club member, Mike Scissons who is taking over the Blades marketing position. Mike and Mike cheerfully tolerated Cheryl dressing them up in some funky old and new Blades outfits and memorabilia.
