Social AnnouncementsEvents for 2007 are in the planning stages by our new social committee.General AnnouncementsMoney raised today was donated to the CJWW Denny Carr Secret Santa fund.Speaker | Steven Shannon - CJWWSteve Shannon came to speak to us about the CJWW Denny Carr Secret Santa program. Steve also spoke to us about the Saskatoon Blades Hockey Club and encouraged us to support the Blades. He has been in the radio business for 31 years now. 22 or 23 years ago, the Salvation Army was looking for help. They delivered Christmas packages to families in need. Denny Carr came up with the idea to help gather and give much needed toys for children. That is how the program got its start. Denny passed away in 1999 but the cause continues on. Part of its support comes from Saskatoon firefighters who have helped raise money for more than 20 years. Last year they raised more than $20,000.00.Steve finished off with a great Jean Cretien impression.
