Speaker | Ken Howland Persephone Theatre

Ken started out by discussing the state of their building. Persephone started as a community theatre company in 1974. They have just under 300 seats in the existing theatre facility. They have over 30,000 people attending there each year. There is clearly a need for a new building and that will be happening soon.

Persephone is planning an 11 million dollar new facility at the River Landing development. It will be a multi-use facility. They have only 3.5 million dollars left to raise. They hope to begin construction before the end of 2006. The work will be done by Wright Construction.
