General AnnouncementsNoneSpeaker | Claude Marcotte | Caleb ManagementClaude came to Saskatchewan several years ago from Ontario. He was first involved with our club with the Radisson Hotel. He has been with Caleb Group for a number of years now. Caleb manages about eight complexes for seniors in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. The are working toward expansion into Ontario. They are also working on a new project in Winnipeg worth about 20 million dollars. Most mornings in their properties involve breakfast followed by exercise programs and recreational activities. The rent paid by residents covers meals, activities, laundry, rides to medical appointments, etc. Unlike a care facility, they do not assess people when the first come in. The seniors with them are more likely to be able to live independently. The average age of residents is 80. The average rent for a studio for one person is $1,400.00 per month to about $3,200.00 per month for a couple. Standards of living for seniors are improving vastly as they now often have more money than the average senior of several years ago.Sergeant at ArmsVarious Fines from LyleHidden HandNonePot of Gold WinnerSorry I had to leave before I found out.Other BusinessNoneNext Meeting2006-09-13 |
