AGM MinutesDale Grant, Treasurer, presented income statements and balance sheets, which reported we have a total combined bank balance of $8,939.09 as of Dec. 31, 2004. Dale also reported the 2004 operating year resulted in a deficit of <$1,263.66>, based upon total revenues of $19,367.75 and expenses of $20,631.41.
Clint Thomas raised question as to how much cash we need on hand. Consensus was we could stand to whittle away at the surplus to leave a balance in neighbourhood of $4,000-$5,000. Options such as prorated rebates based upon length of membership, giving away 722 Dollars and resuming summer meetings were discussed. Dwight Buccholz suggested we consider using a silent ballot to determine what majority of members would like to see happen.
Dale G. moved his Treasurer's Report be accepted. Perry Schwark seconded. Motion passed.
Brenda Thomsen, President, brought a concern raised to her by Dr. Don to the attention of the membership, which was to change the way in which our Tips and Leads are being presented to the club. The concern stems from a lack of information available on the Web site. Brenda asked the club if they would be in favour of having quarterly statements of Tips and Leads, including the names of the businesses patronized and by whom, sent out via email. Greg will set up a spreadsheet & email quarterly.
